Sonarfreq Reminiscent of late 70's / early 80's Synth Pop Electronica at it's finest. Clever arrangements and beautiful vocals lovingly produced. Favorite track: Bella (Chicky and Coco Remix).

bongosodij Love the whole album ,so difficult to pick a favourite. The vocals on this track, bitcrushed and fading out is really cool. Favorite track: Poliakov (midierror Remix).

onionBoy_btwihateonions As per usual with remix albums, SNARED is a great companion piece to its more fleshed out counterpart but doesn't exactly hold up as its own entity. That said, the songs remixed here are still really freakin' good and the remixes bring new life to them. All in all, it's worth listening to if you want a good idea of what BOO's style sort of sounds like or if you loved SNARE.

As it stands, I would recommend this, but as a free album (that you can also pay for), there's no reason NOT to grab this. Favorite track: Poliakov (midierror Remix).

greenelf1967 The original album was amazing and now it's got even better. A collection of remixes for some of the tunes from the "SNARE" album by some very talented artists who all seem to embrace the feeling that BOO gives out in their own music all leading up to some great tracks mine being "Poliakov" remixed by midierror...
Kolina Lind

Kolina Lind Excellent remixes! No filler, they only enhance the songs. Buy the album before it’s gone forever! Favorite track: Poliakov (midierror Remix).

When I ask myself who you are I just get grainy photographs Leave the briefcase by the car Don't ask questions remove the wire I'm not doing this for myself I'm not doing this for myself I'm not doing this for myself I'm not doing this for myself Burning papers on the ground Got devices recording sound The smile on their faces when they're found I love But I'm not doing this for myself I'm not doing this for myself I'm not doing this for myself I'm not doing this for myself Tonight I don't care I'm alive They can stare Tonight I don't care My last night The final dare Tonight I don't care I'm alive They can stare Tonight I don't care My last night The final dare Tonight I don't care I'm alive They can stare Tonight I don't care I'm alive

We pull the net across the street Tarmac burns bare feet We cast long shadows then I dream of strangeness We wait, we wait, we wait, we wait, we wait Lost in long ago You're getting too close You never escape We wait, we wait, we wait, we wait, we wait We burn our schoolbooks on the beach We see the future in the flames We cast stones in the sea I dream of strangeness I run, I run, I run, I run, I run Lost in long ago You're getting too close You never escape I run, I run, I run, I run, I run We lived a lifetime We lived a lifetime While we waited to start We lived a lifetime We lived a lifetime While we waited to start We wait, we wait, we wait, we wait, we wait (We lived a lifetime while we waited to start we lived a lifetime) Remembering a thousand promises (Lost in long ago)

Before I leave this town Slip the rope before I run aground Going down without a sound Lock the door before we hit the ground Though I know that it's not right I'm gonna see you one last time I burned the notebook that I found The drawings and dreams you need around you A stranger's footprint on your floor Watching your face as you lock the door again Though we know that it's not right I'm gonna see you one last time Turn your face a strange goodbye Feels like our grave in neon light Though we know that it's not right I'm gonna get you off my mind Turn your face a strange goodbye Feels like our grave in neon light Before I leave this town

Looking up The sky feels solid today Shifting stars I can't find my way Feel the life All around you Is it real Is it real I can see the I can see the light falling through Take a cup Feel your way around and in Quick, drink it up Take it up Bring it in Sweat it out The stars are moving nearer I can see the I can see the light falling through

I've been here again and again but Today it's all shaking I'm waiting For you You gave me a reason to run and I should have but here I am waiting For you I'm waiting I'm waiting Come for me I'm waiting I'm waiting I'm waiting For you They pass by I look to the windows And I see light It's quarter to two I know that you meant it You said that you'd be here It's cold and I'm ready I'm waiting for you It's cold and I'm ready I'm waiting for you It's cold and I'm ready I'm ready For what I must do I'm waiting I'm waiting Come for me I'm waiting I'm waiting I'm waiting For you I'm waiting I'm waiting Come for me I'm waiting I'm waiting I'm waiting For you

Frightening interference Something came between us The world is full of voices Permanent on call We ran for days together We came upon a clearing Somewhere to lay your head down And watch as darkness falls Please don't let this drown us out Please don't let this drown us out With all of England dreaming Standing at the sky side Naked in the starlight The pause before the fall When did you stop dreaming? Where did it all go wrong? Pining in the starlight Forgotten who you are When did you stop dreaming? Where did it all go wrong? Hiding in the half light Forgotten what you're for Please don't let this drown us out Please don't let this drown us out Please don't let this drown us out Please don't let this drown us out Half the world is sleeping Frozen at the skyside Blinking in the starlight The pause before the fall We ran for years together We came upon a clearing Somewhere to lay your head down And wait as darkness falls

about

In the Summer of 2018 BOO’s cold war-inspired album SNARE was released to critical acclaim, casting a long cool shadow on modern synthpop. The duo (Chris Black and Brigitte Rose) have now marshalled some bright new stars in electronic music to deliver a new take on their sonic world of spies and sin in SNARED (The Remixes).

SNARED (The Remixes) will be a limited edition release of 50 CDs with 50 unique covers handmade by the band. Digital downloads will only be available while physical copies are in stock, once the CDs are sold out the downloads will also be deactivated. It will be released exclusively via Bandcamp.

Praise for SNARE:

“melancholic synth-pop with a polished atmosphere that never loses its sense of human scale”
–Bandcamp Daily Essential Releases of the Week

“An album that is incredibly accomplished and jam packed with high quality. An album of the year? Quite possibly. 8.5/10”
– Louder Than War

“Timeless retro for both heart and mind. 9/10”
– Elektroskull
