onionBoy_btwihateonions pretty enjoyable synthpop. nuff said. Favorite track: Wish List.

slowmo I bought this album a few months ago and it's been on high rotation at my place ever since. The whole family loves it. Every track is brilliant and there's a broad palette from impossibly catchy (Fluoro sushi) to brooding (Totem) to beautifully dreamy (For the 10). Tight inventive arrangements and perfect vocals - what more could you want? Plus the CD packaging is a work of art. Favorite track: For The 10.

Oliver Gillespie Just glorious, not much else to say!

subtle70 Best album of 2014. If you love pure synthpop buy it. It doesn't get much better than the opening four tracks of this album. And Brie and Chris are lovely. :) Favorite track: Clown.

What have you come for? Are you expecting anything? Hold two mirrors facing each other and place your hand between. What have you come for? Are you expecting anything? Hold two mirrors facing each other and place your hand between. We must play, we haven't played for years. We must play, we haven't played for years. We must play, we haven't played for years. We must play, we haven't played for years. Through telegraph wires, and through cables under the sea. Paper eyes can't see the wood for the trees. Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? I see you've chosen How to love You squeeze it close Wring it out You learned to take More than you give You still end up Hollowed out Queen of the hard way When you play You play to lose These Are your misfortunes You're drawing them out And tying a noose Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? Feed On your disasters Bite your nails To the bone These are your misfortunes Wrapping them round Calling them home Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? Why don't you give it something less than you're supposed? Why don't you let it take a breath before you go? Leave Out the hard part Leave your life Scattered about You learned to take More than you give You still end up Hollowed out

Standing behind me You won't stop talking at me The things that you wanted The places that mean nothing to me Why won't you stop it Just leave me on my own You're making me itchy Your brain lice making me home Don't get in touch Don't call my name I never want to hear from you again Let it go Oh oh Why don't you leave me alone If you could stop talking for a minute About yourself uh oh uh oh Oh oh Why don't you fall through the floor And leave me all alone please My ears would be so happy I don't want to hear About your holiday In Ibiza Or wherever the fuck you go At night You wouldn't notice If I laid down on the ground You'd still be squawking Spewing out your sounds Oh oh Why don't you leave me alone If you could stop talking for a minute About yourself uh oh uh oh Oh oh Why don't you go out the door And leave me all alone please My ears would be so happy Oh oh Why don't you leave me alone If you could stop talking for a minute About yourself uh oh uh oh Oh oh Why don't you crash through the wall And leave me all alone please My ears would be so happy

Fluoro Sushi 03:41
fresh sushi on the crosstown express I am the future in a fluorescent dress sliding through the city at the speed of light passing Tesla tower to my right stepping into the neon night chill stepping out of the Hitchcock triple bill don't the city look super bright now everything's equal and everything is right press your face too close to the screen with me the world smashed into red and blue and green built a future that was meant to stay all of the dark religions have given way got rid of money now we ride for free we live to grow and not to climb the tree this was just a dream before we made it reality this is just a dream before we make it reality press your face too close (press your face too close to the screen with me) to the screen with me (the world smashed into red and blue and green) the world smashed into red and blue and green (we'll never go back to a broken past) (we built a future that was meant to last)

I crunched gravel roads inside a square I played on a stage for dolls with shining hair You sang to me while the sky burned out and held us down Falling into blood warm air It's hard to breathe You were decorating the walls while they closed in on me I could see fixed in your eye how it would be Are you receiving me? If you stay here I'll say goodbye I wish you'd call me up sometime On my tin can telephone Tin can telephone I'll give you my footprints Pressed flowers on the road An invisible thread, that I tied To my tin can telephone And when we talk all I will hear is space in between Are you receiving me? If you stay here I'll say goodbye I wish you'd call me up sometime If you stay here I'll say goodbye I wish you'd call me up sometime On my tin can telephone Tin can telephone Tin can telephone Tin can telephone You're taking your time Knitting your habits into a home a place to hide How could you not know that I would leave Turn into the trees I'll give you my footprints Pressed flowers on the road An invisible thread, that I tied to my tin can telephone And when we talk all I will hear is space in between I wish you'd call me Tin can telephone Tin can telephone Tin can telephone Tin can telephone

For The 10 07:52

about

“It’s analog electro pop like Claire Grogan‘s grandkids discovered her old kit in the attic, didn’t really know what it was but just made it work anyway.”
- Deadly Music

"Chirpy, analogue powered electro-pop that sounds like a childlike version of Chvrches, full of fun and devoid of irony"
- The Metaphorical Boat

“Crackly retro-electronica: like St. Etienne given an unlimited supply of Atari game modules and OMD B-sides and a sense of humour… Makes me miss Brighton with sobering drunken clarity.”
- Everett True

“hard-edged Mitteleuropop sensibility … 80s disco sounds, yes. Jaunty 70s school programme jingles, yay. More serious-minded 65DOS/John Carpenter-esque sci-fi soundtrackery, affirmative. And while BOO cleave to a DIY ethic with a certain allergy to polishing things too much, that’s very clearly deliberate.”
